The Food Run - Microsoft Store - Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and disclose your personal information for the game "The Food Run", which will hereafter be referred to as the "game" and which we have created as a commercial game on the Microsoft Store. Here at Battenberg Software we take personal privacy very seriously. If you choose to use this game then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this privacy policy.
Personal Information
  • Personal Information We Collect
This game supports user-genererated content in the form of a level editor, which allows you to create content for the game which you can then share with other players. If you use this service you have the option of keeping the content private, sharing it with your friends or sharing it with everyone. The content is stored on our servers, and includes an encrypted version of your Xbox Live User ID (not your Gamertag) in order to identify you. Your Gamertag will be fetched and displayed to your friends or to all other users of the game depending on how you choose to share your content. We do not store details of your friends or any other personal information on our servers for user-generated content.
  • Personal Information Collected by Third Parties
We use third party services that may collect information used to identify you. This game optionally integrates with Xbox Live. If you choose to use Xbox Live, the game will award achievements on your behalf using your Xbox Live Gamertag. This information stays within the game and the Xbox Live servers - we do not use or collect it in any way. We advise that you review Microsoft's Privacy Statement for more information on how they use your personal information.
Anonymous Information
When you use our game, we do not collect any anonymous information. We do however use a third party service that collects anonymous information for the purposes of analytics and error logging - namely Unity Services. We advise that you review Unity's Privacy Policy for more information.
  • Analytics
We use analytics via Unity Services to log when the game is played so we know how many active users of the game we have. We do not personally identify users this way.
  • Error Logging
If an error occurs in the game, we use Unity Services to report details on that error to allow us to fix it in a future version to improve the game. The data recorded includes the type of device you are using, the operating system version, details of the CPU and graphics card, if present, and the details of the error itself. None of this data identifies you personally, and we do not use it for anything other than fixing the error. We may store a temporary copy of the data on our servers in order to pursue a fix offline. Once the data is no longer required, we delete everything both from our servers and from Unity Services.
Microsoft keep track of the number of game purchases, including downloadable content, which is shared with us to calculate our revenue share. We are not given any personal information to identify you as the purchaser.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Therefore you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Any changes will be posted on this page and will take effect immediately.
